Workshop in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges

In 2018 the director Alice Diop organizes a filmmaking workshop for 8 young people living in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges. The participants all encounter difficulties in their scolarship and in their career. For these young adults passionate about cinema, this workshop is an opportunity to learn audiovisual skills and train themself how to directed a film. The workshop is also a way for them to offer a new gaze on their city, their neighborhood, their home.

For about 30 days, the filmmakers worked on shooting exercices, began their scouting and shooting for their film, and then edited them with professional editors.

The workshop has been organized by Collectif Repérages and Ateliers Varan thanks to the support of our partners : Arcadi-Ile-de-France, Passeurs d'images in Ile-de-France and the city of Villeneuve-Saint-Georges.
