Chantal Roussel

From 1967 to 1969, Chantal Roussel was head of administration at the Lycée Mansourah in Constantine, Algeria. In 1970, she became administrator of the Centre National de l'Enseignement Privé in Paris. In 1975, she moved to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, where she managed various educational development activity centres until 1981.

A member of the ateliers Varan since 1982, just after the association was set up, she organized and implemented all the association's management and became director of the Ateliers. Following financial support from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the launch of the association, she became involved in fundraising for the development of the association and its parisian courses, and supported the foreign workshops projects. From 1984 to 2008, while running the Ateliers Varan, Chantal Roussel was also manager of YUMI Productions. Since 2008, she has been treasurer of the Ateliers Varan.
