Luc Forveille is a graduate of IDHEC and notably edits films by Claire Simon, Alexander Abaturov, Mehran Tamadon, Jacques Deschamps, Arnaud Lambert, Alexander Kusnetsov and Sophie Bredier.
He has been teaching for many years at Femis, at the Lussas master's program in documentary filmmaking and, more recently, at Ateliers Varan.
In 2020, he defended a thesis on the logic of documentary editing, entitled “Montage et production de sens dans le cinéma documentaire contemporain” (“Editing and the production of meaning in contemporary documentary cinema”). The book Dans la salle de montage. Logiques du documentaire resulting for this thesis is published by Impressions Nouvelles.
