Career
French Director of Photography
Renaud Personnaz, a director of photography, filmmaker, and instructor, works in France and internationally on feature films and creative documentaries. He has collaborated with Jérôme Prieur, Laurence Ferreira Barbosa, Mario Martone, Raoul Ruiz, Fanny Ardant, Élisabeth Leuvrey, Sylvaine Dampierre, Leïla Férault-Lévy, and others.
He has also directed several documentary films, including Opera oscura, Au-delà des notes, and Écrire un musée.
He regularly teaches at various schools in France and abroad, including Ateliers Varan. Notably, he served as coordinator of the Master’s in Cinema program at the ENS Louis-Lumière.
A member of Ateliers Varan since 2002, he is an instructor for numerous workshops and has been leading the workshop “Cmaera-Work in Creative Documentaries” since 2020.
He is a member of the AFC and the Union of Cinematographers.
