Synopsis
Following the demolition of the shanties and the construction of new buildings for the relocation of the residents of the old neighbourhood of Curraleira, an empty space was left. This film is about that place, about the encounters, the stories and the activities that define it.

Tiago Hespanha
Portuguese director and producer
Born in Coimbra, Portugal, in 1978, Tiago Hespanha graduated in architecture in 2004 and discovered documentary filmmaking with the Ateliers Varan during a filmmaking course in Lisbon in 2006. He then undertook a Master's degree in Creative Documentary at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona in 2012. He makes documentary films and co-founded the production company Terratreme in 2008. Since 2011 he has been working with Docnomads, the European Documentary Master's programme, in Lisbon, and has been a member of Ateliers Varan since 2014.
