French director and editor
Born in Quimper in 1978, Tony Quéméré studied at the Institut d'Études Politiques de Toulouse and pursued a degree in History and Modern Literature with a focus on cinema at the University of Toulouse Le Mirail. He then moved to Mexico, where he worked in the communications department of the United Nations and later in the audiovisual department of the French Embassy. Upon returning to Paris, he earned a Master’s degree in Cooperation and Development from the Institut des Hautes Études sur l’Amérique Latine, as well as a Master’s in International Artistic Cooperation from Paris VIII. He then spent time in Ecuador attempting to establish a traveling film festival in remote areas of the country. It was during his training at the Ateliers Varan in the spring of 2007 that he made his first film, Les Secrets.
Since 2010, he has been directing and editing institutional films (for events such as the Festival du Printemps de Bourges, Adami, Théâtre de la Cité Internationale, and Festival d’Automne in Paris) and capturing theater performances (at Théâtre Ciné 13, Théâtre Jemmapes, etc.) for Mayuna Films. He is also an audiovisual trainer at the Centre Culturel de La Jonquière (Paris 17).
In 2022, he directed the autobiographical documentary Eldorado.
